Fishing in Cheow Lan Lake
Cheow Lan Lake in Southern Thailand is the spot to fish for trophy Giant Snakehead. Fishing is done from long tail boats equiped with an electric engine to get 'in-and-out' of thick vegetation, around submerged trees and fallen logs. The Giant Snakehead is an aggressive and powerful predator; catching these fish will truly test you’re angling skills. If you enjoy the thrill of explosive top-water strikes, you will love the Giant Snakehead.
On the fishing trip you will have the opportunity to catch the hard-fighting Hampala Barb also called Jungle Perch. These fish provide great action and battle; it is a powerful and hungry predator and will take most lures that are cast to it.
If you are up for even more adventure, there is the Jungle River Fishing Experience on the rivers that connect with Cheow Lan Lake. The Giant Snakehead usually never goes up in the river very far but you will meet Hampala Barb and the extremely powerful Thai Mahseer.

Guided Fly fishing trips to the clear jungle rivers, in Khao Sok National Park
