Muskellunge ... Esox masquinongy The most Elusive Fish in Fresh Water The season runs from the first weekend of June through December 1st.

There’s a certain mystique about this fish. It’s known to be as fickle as it is ferocious. Often, it rises up from the depths like a shadow behind an angler's lure, following right to the boat. The Muskie seems to glare at the angler in anger and contempt, only to simply turn away, leaving many a fisherman weak in the knees at the mere sight of such a beast .
When hooked, Muskies jump, they dive, and frequently they come to the surface, slashing savagely with a mouth full of razor sharp teeth. Stories abound of broken tackle, baits left in tatters, and monstrous fish engulfing lures mere inches from the rod tip - only to rip free and leave their would-be captor shaken and speechless.

Minnesota has become the premier destination for anglers looking to test their skills against the mighty Muskie. Minnesota’s large, clear lakes contain the structure, cover, and forage necessary for growing trophy class Muskies. Every cast holds the possibility of landing a fish of 50 inches or more!
Depending on the time of the year, water conditions and what region of Minnesota you wish to fish ... we will have several water systems to choose from.
The Twin Cities Metro Area – Lakes Minnetonka and Waconia Central Minnesota – Lakes Mille Lacs, Alexander and Shamineau West Central Minnesota – Lakes Miltona and West Battle, and Lobster Lake Northern Minnesota – Cass Lake and Plantanganette

I am fortunate to have grown up in Central Minnesota where I learned to fish, literally, as soon as I was old enough to hold a rod. I’ve spent a great deal of time fishing a variety of species, but after catching my first Muskie I knew I’d for found my passion. It didn’t take long for Muskies to begin commanding nearly all of my time.
Now, after over a decade of relentlessly pursuing these fish, and catching hundreds of muskies, I’ve realized that I truly enjoy helping others catch them too. This passion has me deeply involved with conservation organizations such as Muskies, Incorporated and the Minnesota Muskie Alliance, where we are working to preserve and enhance our fisheries for future generations.
As your guide, I will work hard to put you in contact with the big Muskies inhabiting my favorite lakes. Utilizing a fully equipped boat and high quality tackle, my energetic determination and knowledge of fish activity will put you in position to do battle with these elusive creatures.
To preserve our fisheries, all Muskies will be handled carefully and quickly released. We'll take a quick measurement and a couple of quality photos to preserve your memories. If you want a trophy for the wall, I will refer you to artists that can make a high quality replica of your catch. Modern replicas look real and last forever. Muskies are a limited resource and they are far too special to catch just once.
