I was born and raised in a village in North Wales called Blaenau Ffestiniog, from a very young age I was introduced to the various lakes and rivers around the area, my father would carry me on his back while he walked across the old railway lines at Glanpwll then we would make our way to Cwmothin where the late Emrys Evans would be seen fishing his special patterns.  Soon I would become acquainted with the fly tying vice and would learn to tie the classic wet flies, so from those very early years my style of tying is heavily influenced by the classic Welsh wets.
