When you go fishing on the Triple Catch Charter there are a few things that you should do and bring to make yourself as comfortable as possible on the boat.

Check the weather forecast a day in advance … wear the appropriate clothing for weather conditions (recommend a layering approach) and soft soled shoes are required for your safety and comfort.

A sports bag is a good idea to bring for carrying your rain gear, hat, sun glasses, sunscreen, camera, and other personal items that you need on Triple Catch charter fishing.

Depending on the length of your charter you may want to bring a small cooler stock with drinks, sandwiches and snacks.

If you get sea sick or aren’t sure if you get sea sick then it is a very wise idea to take your Dramamine before you leave the dock.

A large cooler to transport your catch home … you should leave the cooler in the car until returning to the dock.

Early Season Lake Michigan Fishing …

March and April offer some of the best Coho, Brown Trout, and Yellow Perch fishing opportunities.  The south end of Lake Michigan is much shallower and warms first which attracts large schools of baitfish and this attracts Coho and Brown Trout to this area.  Along with a possible bonus fish … hooking-up and fighting the mighty King Salmon.  This area also produces good quantities of Jumbo Perch ... Indiana's limit is 15 per person.  One of the best method for catching Perch is using light spinning tackle and drop-shotting an amflyfishing’s tandem fly rig ~ each fly tipped with a minnow.
